Main matrix phases are phyllosilicates, carbonates, and pyrrhotite.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"writeup\">\n<p><big><u>Writeup from <a href=\"https:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/10.1111\/maps.12944\">MB 105:<\/a><\/u><\/big><\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"MBNormal\"><strong>Northwest Africa 10580<\/strong> (NWA 10580)<\/p>\n<p class=\"MBIndent\">(Northwest Africa)<\/p>\n<p class=\"MBIndent\">Purchased: October 2015<\/p>\n<p class=\"MBIndent\">Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CO3)<\/p>\n<p class=\"MBNormal\"><strong>History<\/strong>: Purchased from a Moroccan dealer, October 2015.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MBNormal\"><strong>Physical characteristics<\/strong>: Many identical appearing stones. Shiny, black to dark brown, smooth weathered exterior with very small chondrule pits; saw cuts reveals numerous small chondrules and a few small CAIs set in a dark-brown matrix.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MBNormal\"><strong>Petrography<\/strong>: (C. Agee, <i>UNM<\/i>) Microprobe examination of a polished mount shows numerous chondrules, many fragmental or irregular, most in the size range 50-200 \u03bcm, a few up to 600 \u03bcm. Scattered metal\/sulfide blebs, fine-grained matrix makes up about 50% of this meteorite. Most chondrules appear to be Type I with forsteritic olivine, enstatitic pyroxene or aluminous diopside.
