Aydar 006 is an ordinary chondrite of type H3. It was found in a concentration area called Aydar by Lahsen Oussalah in 2019. 6 pieces for a total of 1020 g were discovered at 8.69 km south west of Lebouirat.
This is the 6th classified meteorite discovered in this area.

Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H3)
History: Lahsen Oussalah found the 6 samples weighing a total of 1020 g 8.69km SW of Lebouirat, Morocco, in 2019. Jean Redelsperger purchase the samples from Mohamed El Guirah in Zagora in 2020.
Physical characteristics: Samples have wind-blown surfaces devoid of fusion crust, are brown in color, rounded-irregular in shape. A cut face shows the interior contains abundant well-formed, close-packed chondrules, FeNi metal and FeS.
Petrography: Classification and Description (A. Love, App) Sample shows chondritic texture composed of abundant chondrules an average apparent diameter of 390 µm (n=58). Additional minerals are: chromite, FeNi metal (8.6 vol%), troilite and apatite.
Geochemistry: (A. Love, App) Olivine (Fa17.1±7.4, Fe/Mn=57.3±48.3, n=17), low Ca pyroxene (Fs12.6±8.2Wo1.1±1.1, Fe/Mn=24.7±10.8, n=13).
Classification: Ordinary chondrite (H3, C-S2, W2) Chondrule diameters, unequilibrated mineral compositions and metal abundance suggest sample is an H3 chondrite.
Specimens: Jean Redelsperger holds the main masses. An endcut weighing 20.90g and a polished mount are on deposit at App.
