A stone weighing 134 g was found in the Sahara.
A sample was submitted for analysis and classification to the University of Washington in Seattle (A. Irving). NWA 6348 has been determined to be a metachondrite (Irving et al. 2005). NWA 6348 was classified by A. Irving as the first metachondrite from the parent body of chondrite L and was classified as type L7 chondrite.
Few fragments of this type of meteorite are available for sale.
